Dennis Quaid

Born: April 9, 1954 - Houston, Texas

A genuine Texan and son of an electrician, this easy-going, rather boyish actor chased the spotlight early, studying drama in high school and college. He dropped out of the University of Houston, however, to move to California to pursue his love.

After a rocky start he began to gain fame in such movies as Breaking Away, The Right Stuff, and The Big Easy. He is the younger brother of Randy Quaid, loves the game of golf, and is also a musician in his spare time, leading a band called Dennis Quaid and the Sharks.

Personal Quote: "I could never hold a job for more than three months, which works out well because that's how long a movie shoots."
