Joaquin Phoenix
Born October 28, 1974
This understated but very professional actor was born in Puerto Rico and the middle child of the diversely-named group of five: River, Rain, Liberty, and Summer are all his siblings.
The family moved around a lot while he was a baby, but finally settled in California. His parents found an agent to take on all 5 children and Joaquin joined his siblings in TV work on TV commercials. He gained notice in the movie To Die For, but his breakthrough came in The Gladiator, where he portrayed the emperor. He is a strict vegan and a spokesperson for PETA.
Personal Quote: "When I go out with the ladies, I don't force them to pronounce my name. I tell them I like to go by the nickname of Kitten."
