Famke Janssen
Born: November 5, 1965 Amsterdam, Netherlands
This tall, stately, and striking actress was born in Holland. She started out her career as a model, but when she moved to the United States and New York, she decided to major in writing and literature (showing that the cliche of the empty-headed model is dead wrong).
She then started studying acting, practicing her craft in New York before moving to Los Angeles. She is perhaps best known to sci-fi fans as Jean Gray in the X-Men film series.
Personal Quote: "We've always been ready for female superheroes. Because women want to be them and men want to do them."
