Jim Carrey

Born January 17, 1962 - Newmarket, Ontario

This outgoing, energetic comedian/actor was born and raised in Canada and started performing for family and friends since a toddler. He did stand-up routines in junior high, and after a very lean episode in his childhood (the family lived out of their car once), started making his mark in the comedy-club scene.

From there he moved on to TV and films. His climb to stardom began with the TV series In Living Color. Early films such as the Ace Ventura series and The Cable Guy helped boost his star. Known for his physical comedy, he also can work successfully in dramas.

Personal Quote: "I'm charming, but I dip into the Prozac now and then."
