Thora Birch

Born March 11, 1982 - Los Angeles, California

A strong, down-to-earth young actress, Birch grew up in the California lifestyle (her parents named her after the Norse God of Thunder) and started her acting career early, age six in TV commercials.

She continued with TV for a time, then switched over to the big screen. Paradise with Don Johnson and Melaine Griffith was her first success. More were to come, such as Hocus Pocus, Monkey Trouble, and Ghost World. She is perhaps best known for her role in the black comedy American Beauty.

She does her own stunts (and has a blue belt in Karate) and lives on a ranch in East LA.

Personal Quote: "For me, romance isn't an over-the-top act. It's someone offering to help and to support me. Or if that person thinks I'm making the wrong decision, he'll tell me. I want him to be honest, because being that honest takes a lot of guts."
