Golden Globe nominations: Hits and misses

A short rundown of the "winners" and "losers" from this year's Golden Globe nominations:

WINNERS

Atonement: The adaptation of Ian McEwan's novel scored seven nominations, including Best Picture - Drama, a Best Actress nod for Keira Knightley and a Best Actor nod for James McAvoy.

Charlie Wilson's War: This dramedy earned five nominations, including nods for Tom Hanks and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Cate Blanchett, Philip Seymour Hoffman: Both actors were doubly-nominated in Best and Supporting categories.

LOSERS

Gone Baby Gone: Amy Ryan was the only one to receive a nomination for this movie, as The Brothers Affleck (director Ben, star Casey) were passed over.

Tommy Lee Jones: Many expected him to get a Best Actor nomination No Country for Old Men.

Whoever got bumped off the Supporting Actor list by John Travolta: Enough said.
